Commissions are back!
Great customers are the key to any successful business. Being in the wedding industry can be extremely tough as you only get married once....hopefully haha. So that business comes and goes and you're constantly trying to find new clients with a sea full of "everyone is now a photographer". That's why referrals are so important. It's one thing for me to sales pitch someone, but when a bride says to another bride "OMG, Scarmack Productions! Look no further!", more often than not, they're sold.
Commissions are very simple.
You refer us. They book. Mention you. You get paid.
How much?
The rate is 10% rounded to the nearest whole amount, minus any fees.
How will we receive it?
Cash, PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Zelle, Cash App, do not ask for a check, I will deduct your commission lol
When will we receive it?
At the time of their final payment. That could be at the beginning of their booking or the day of their wedding depending on when they pay.
When does this take effect?
This is officially starting again as of 8/1/2025
Why did they end before and can I be reimbursed for a previous referral?
Commissions ended three years ago as I got burned on a few bookings, where I paid out the commission and then the wedding never happened. So I ultimately was out that money as I didn't think it was right to ask for the commission back haha. While I cannot pay out a previous wedding referral, I can extend a discount on your next booking. Just reach out to me.
How will this time be any different?
Before, they were paid at the time of the booking. Now, commissions will only be paid after the final payment has been received.
Can we donate it instead?
On your behalf your commission can be donated to Another Chance Animal Rescue!
